Derek Jones, Faultline’s Director of Artist Resources

Derek Jones is a San Francisco based actor, producer and host. A native of Baltimore, MD, Derek has appeared in various dramatic and comedic roles including Killing My Lobster's 1997 and Game of Nerds; Adventures in Tech (with Pillow Talk on The Side) and PianoFight's "Shortlived" and "Pint Size Plays" series. Derek also appeared in 3 shows during FaultLine Theater's 2017 season including Where All Good Rabbits Go; How To Be A White Man, and #bros. A frequent guest on Tinder Disrupt (formerly under the FaultLine Theater umbrella), Derek has recently joined the team full time as co-host and co-producer. Derek is a huge music fan and collector, true crime documentary buff and a lover of all things weird. Derek is excited to continue his work with FaultLine Theater to further its artistic and community missions.


As Director of Artist Resources, Derek will:

  • Create regular updates and communications with company and board related to productions, casting and professional networking and development opportunities

  • Officially serve as point person for welcoming cast and crew to productions (first rehearsals)

  • Plan and host opening and closing night, alumni and artist related events

  • Partner with Creative Team to devise and execute promotional plan for all productions

  • Partner with Intimacy Coordinator and creative teams for each show to help facilitate human resource discussions and conflict resolution

  • Manage FLT Artists Facebook group
